Here I Am Again

Any loyal reader out there? Ok never mind, I see no hands... It's ok, I just feel like writing =P

Believe me, there were times where I was back here with the intention to share, but for whatever reasons, it always got interrupted and now, there are more drafts than published posts in my admin page. Hopefully this post will be published and not remained as draft.

Well, second day of 2012, but I seriously not in a mood to set my new year resolution neither am I in the mood of reviewing my progression on my last year's resolution. But 2011 had been a year so different from what I've gone through for the past 20 years or so. Well, I'd just dedicate this post to some of the TOP moments in 2011.

Top 2 Terrifying Moment in 2011

2. I've done my work and I asked my senior through online communication tool if he/she needs any help and he/she replied "I need someone to kill me, can?"

Believe me, that's one helluva of scary stuff. First thing first, I barely know him/her and secondly, online communication tool has no emotion, so I don't know if he/she's fooling around with me or I'm simply too annoying. Not knowing what to do next, I just stood there dumbfounded.

1. My car spun violently and all I hear was several loud crashes and glass shattering, thank God I'm still alive...

I do not wish to re-experience this ever again, it is the worst thing ever happened to me by far. Thank God I was alone on that road that morning and I came out the badly damaged car unscathed.

Top 2 Unforgettable Moment in 2011

2. I visited my grandma in hospital and she asked me to sit but I said I've been sitting too long until my backside hurt, she smiled... And that was her last smile...

I've never liked the idea of dying, and even though I know sooner or later I'm going to experience it, I've always shun the thought away. Until in late August 2011, I've seen my grandma passed away in front of me. She'll always in my heart, may you rest in peace, grandma.

1. She was dressed in light blue Maxi dress, a 3-course-meal awaiting me...

That was one of the best nights I had in 2011, she cooked a 3-course-meal all by herself, setting up the candle lights and waiting patiently for me to come over after work. When her plan dawn on me, I couldn't close my jaw for a good 10 minutes and no words came out of it. It was very unexpected and hey dear, you are awesome! Thanks and I will always love you...

A lot has happened in this short span of time. I think it would take up a good fortnight to give a blow-to-blow detail of what I've been up to or what had jumped into my life and took me by surprise. To cut short, after three years, here comes the moment where I've to don in some silly robes, holding a rolled quality paper that cost me 38k and smile to the camera. Supposedly to be one of my proudest moments. Yea, supposedly. Well, under my mortarboard, there hides a word regret with capital letters. Anyway, I still feel an ounce of happiness on this regard, but, sigh, gone my student-priced-movie-tickets. This ain't good huh?

So on the tour of getting myself employed, a lot of anxious, self-doubt and nervous were on the way. It wasn't a smooth drive like my other friends, where they hit the jackpot for the first interview. Awfully screwed up the first interview, and the next thing I know was finding myself in a dilemma between going on with what I had on hand or risked it for a better choice. Thank God it all ended well and everything is settled down. My earnest gratitude to those assisted me along the way, this includes Mr. Google.

Alright, a snippet on the second happiest man in the world. Well, you know who you are. So far so good I would say, despite some small fights now and then. You wouldn't know how surprised I was that day when you get me water during dinner. It's not just about saying the sacred three words, the warmness comes from small little stuff like that, at least to me. You deserve the award and keep making me the happiest man in the world ya?

To wrap up everything, life has been what it is, not lacking moments of joy or anger or tear, what is really lacking is a rewind button. But who needs it? You wouldn't know how it would have been if another road were taken. Why bother then?

"To be more awesome than last year"

I remember early this year I set this as my goal for 2010. But truth be told, I failed badly. If there is a scale to judge my yearly performance up to my 21 years of existence on earth, I think I've been the worse me in 2010.

I abused all the trusts that were put forth on me and brought disappointment to those I hold dear. How unworthy...

If there is one last thing I got to do before the arrival of 2011, it would be a sincere apology to all whom I've troubled, disappointed, hurt and offended. It's time to get myself out of this mess, not without all of your help though. So please kick me in my butt when I show a slight sign of irresponsibility.

Few more days to 2011, few things that I shall start doing:

Be a better bf, brother, son, friend and a follower of Christ
Be on time
Stop procrastinate and get things done fast
Keep my words

and most importantly, be more awesome than whom I was.

I can't remember when was my first encounter with piano. It wasn't because of interest that I started learning piano and as far as my memory is concerned, silly to say, as a young boy I always felt so embarrassed to tell my friends that I learn piano. For me back then, piano is for girls. So imagine with no interest, no love, nothing, I'd always wanted to stop, just that this idea had never passed through my parent. Strangely enough, I never failed any paper and now I can't stop wondering what if I failed all those years, would I green with envy when I look at others playing piano now?

My life is full of blessing, you see. I changed piano teacher for quite a few times but I dare say none of them is as good as Melissa. One of them even told my mom that she doesn't like me and requested to take my brother only, how terrible is that! My interest started to grow for few reasons but I'm just like a typist, practise to hit the notes correctly on the piano. Soulless. Dry. Unexciting. This can't be blamed, for years I was just following instructions, hitting the right notes without appreciation and passion. That's why I feel extremely diffident to play for anyone. At least not until I overcome this, so stay tuned will ya?

So I watched Talentime few days back with a bunch of crazy fellows. I would say the movie is worth watching, feel free just grab one and watch. Oh, the DVD we rent does not have subtitle and we were guessing the plot most of the time because they speak in all languages, BM, Chinese, Cantonese, Tamil, English and even in sign language. That's Malaysia!

I never find Malaysian produced movie appealing, at least to me. Interesting enough, the trigger point to give Talentime a try was Yasmin Ahmad's death. Had she still alive, I wouldn't have chosen Talentime when we're struggling what movie to watch that night. In fact, I wouldn't even know her.

Just like Micheal Jackson, you know, his long sleep has put him back in the limelight again. Those who didn't know him now became his fans; suddenly all the negative charges against him dismissed; people moonwalk-ing on streets; his humanitarian hits warmed the earth... You can even hear people saying "Guess what, I never liked him but things changed now. He is awesome!" Of course, I'm one of them.

Anyhow, I find it extremely perplexing when someone's death actually brought more attention to him/her. Perplexed as in I don't know if I should feel happy or sad on behalf of the deceased; glad that finally my hard works are now recognised and much appreciated, but at an irreplaceable expense.

Why must we start being more appreciative only when we start losing? Sigh...

Elevate Youth Camp

Hello people! Exhausted yet rejuvenated, I'm back from youth camp. Only away from KL for 5 days but I find it hard to adjust myself back to the hassles of life. The deep blue sea, the starry night, shooting stars... how much I miss them =)

I had a different experience in this camp than in the past because I was one of the game committees this time. Planning and playing are two totally different stories, still, it was fun. Perhaps the other members (Alvin, my brother, Naomi, Arnold and John M.) absorbed all the stress, afterall, my attendance at the meeting was pretty bad. Anyway, I think all of us deserve a big hand for the good job done. Come on, don't be stingy, will you?

Beside the games, I enjoyed each and every session very much, though I fall asleep in one or two sessions. Evangelist Cart Butler is awesome! I was pretty worried I couldn't understand him at first because his Australian accent is very strong. Fortunately, everything turned out unexpectedly well. Pretty cool, huh?

It's TIme to Shake off My Languor

It was only two weeks away from my last semester but I felt like ages that I barely remembered what have I done within this short break. Yet, I have stepped into a new page of life. Sigh, time does fly, no?

Recalling the elusive memories of the past two weeks, thank goodness I still managed to do so, the first week was rather full with outings and activities; whereas the following week was submerged in the world of fiction.

Certainly there were things that prompted me to share about in between, but as always, laziness got the most of me. Haha... Never mind, here's a quick look of some of the near past events.

Dreams in November

I think I was a bit out of my mind for buying ticket worth RM 58 instead of the cheapest, but this alone is enough to prove how good they are, erm, at least to me. Anyway, I went with Ming Yee and Han Wen.

Different from their past performances, drums were of little concern during the first half. In fact, they started off with some sort of lion dance as well as fan dance, emanating a strong sense of Chinese tradition. It's not boring though, the girlish and awkward posture amused the crowd. But things changed a 180 degree half way through the end of the first half. Still no sight of drums, but several glasses filled at different water levels. Yeah, glass music. The tinkling sound was definitely soothing, accompanied by a child-like melody, it made everyone felt young again.

After the intermission, they resumed to their normal style. Abstract. Impressive. Heart thumping. The zenith of the performance was the blindfolded soloist playing a variety of percussion instruments. IT'S DAMN GOOD!

Of course the performance followed a story line that I couldn't put them into words and everyone has a different interpretation. So I might as well leave it to your imagination.

MoneyTree "Red Carpet" Party

Went together with Darren and Rou Shian. Nothing much to talk about this other than I found myself seriously lack of soft skill and general knowledge. Well, I might be a bit over worried but I'm going to graduate in no more than a year's time! Knowing that soft skill is of paramount importance in today's workplace, it means I have to start equipping myself if I wanted to survive in the future. Oh no....

Apart from all these, I brought my youngest sister to national library so as to dispel her boredom. Or maybe to stop her from disturbing me, lolx...

Other than that,

1) surprised Tambi for his 21st birthday with Chia Yi, Yong Jian, Feng Ling, Hao Jia and Maggie. Steamboat again.

2) yamcha with Xing Yean, Jun Ming and Zhen Tai some days later.

3) watched 2012 with Toby

4) watched Mulan with my family

Well, apparently I'm too lazy to continue writing xD.

Anyway, I will be off to Youth Camp next week, which means I'm going to skip class. Who cares about assignment, huh? Well, I do. Sigh, better start doing them now...

Well, I know it is ... AHCHEW! ... very dusty here...

If you're wondering what have been keeping me for being so busy, blame exams. Haha...

Anyway, before I go into the main point, just allow me to say this:

EXAM IS OVER AND I'M FREE!!!

Wonder if you notice this, early in a year denotes a new start, when we meet new friends, expecting something new with great enthusiasm and even the sun is hotter, as if he feels our happiness too? But when it comes to November and December, leaves falling in profusion, gloomy dark clouds covering the sky, drizzling all day long, and everyone is about to bid farewell. Is the world programmed such a way that everything has a season?

Forgive my sentimentality (nice word to substitute emo isn't?), but when I read my friends' blog writing on their feelings toward graduation, reviewing their last year in secondary school and etc, I can't help but to let my mind wander back through the time tunnel. What further magnified this are old photos uploaded on Facebook, thanks to technology advancement huh?

Reminiscing all these days, I couldn't tell what exactly my feelings are, but I do smile as I flip through one by one. People that I've met, the ups and downs of my own, things that I've done... And I began to ask myself, had it never happened that way, what would I be today?

How good it is to have memories, if one day I lost all my memories, ouch... I don't even dare to imagine this. Anyway, all good things must come to an end, what makes the difference is either you treasure what you have or you take them for granted and regret later.

With this, here I am to say happy birthday to my mom. For whatever reasons, I find it hard to say happy birthday to her in person. Maybe I'm just too lousy in expressing myself, maybe I'm just too shy... Happy Birthday, mom =)

So, finally I got a chance to slow down my pace, take a deep breath and lay back for a short while. Phew...

Lot of things happened in the past few weeks, but due to the heavy workload that I had, I killed my enthusiasm to blog about them, telling myself 'hey, mind your priority, don't get distracted.'

Guess what? When it comes to free time like now, my intention to blog about them has reduced to the minimum. In layman terms, I lost the mood. This is no good eh?

Anyway, will selectively blog about some in the near future. Couldn't tell you how soon it will be because final exam is coming in two weeks time! Oh no...

Wonder why is this phrase keep popping into my mind so frequently as of late.

In all give thanks, is easier said than done, especially someone like me who tends to take things for granted find it extremely hard to practice this.

Anyway, life is getting more and more hectic and once again, I find my time management is yet to be improved. I have to get rid of procrastination or else insufficient sleep is going to make me a walking zombie.

Long story short, I wouldn't be able to update my blog as often as I used to be. Please don't miss me too much as I don't want ended up sneezing all day long and look suspiciously like a HINI patient. =)

All About Birthday

In case you don't know, this is going to be a grandmother story.

Initially, I wasn't willing to blog about this without having all the photos and videos that I need, because long post without photo is just equivalent to watching a black and white television show, or even worse. But I know I shouldn't delay any longer either. So bear with me and I shall add on the photos and videos as soon as possible, deal?

Long story short, my first surprise came on 7 of August. It was Friday and as usual, I went to cell group with Alvin and my brother. Things went on normally and it was not until closing prayer was done that I found myself in total astonishment! Everybody was staring at me; birthday song flew into my ears; Sarah holding a slice of cake approaching me... Surprise comes when least expected and this is it!

Words for RSG: I've never been given a cold shoulder just because I'm a non-believer and being with you guys are just nice. RSG rocks!

Surprise 2:

The next morning my brother asked me to go to cybercafe because Tzyy was going back to Singapore on Sunday. So off I went and what's on my mind for the next three hours were Dota. Around 3pm, I reached home. It was a scorching hot afternoon and I was facing down all the time to avoid the strong sunlight once I got down from my car. Strangely enough, curtains in my house were all down (this is not the case normally) and doors were all locked! The first thought that struck me was burglary! No idea why, of all things, burglary came to my mind.

Just a few moment later, door was opened and I rushed in. I couldn't describe the exact situation once I entered my house because I was entirely dumbfounded! No sturdy men, no offensive weapons, but a bunch of cheerful friends, close friends that I've not seen for quite some time, holding cake and singing the familiar song. Was I dreaming? No way, it was way too early. Pinched myself. Ouch, it's hurt!

Gosh, out of a sudden, I was enlightened, understood why my brother asked me out, why my mom had told me not to go anywhere the day before because I had to fetch my sister. It was all a scheme, an infiltration! Wasn't it? Anyhow, to be frank, I've suspected nothing. Nothing at all.

They contacted my brother, my sister and even my mum and all the plan just worked out perfectly nice. While I was in cybercafe, they were frying nuggets, french fries and preparing salad in my house!

Not only that, they also prepared a short performance.

My tears were about to roll down but luckily it didn't happen. =)

Kio had another hot dance but she doesn't like her performance that day. See if I got the chance to upload it. Anyway, that was a great performance, Kio.

Words for my family: I find it extremely difficult to thank all of you face to face. Throughout the years, I've been troubling you all so much. I don't tell a lot about me myself because I don't want to worry you all. After all, I'm old enough to handle my own affairs. Daddy and mommy, sorry for my rebellious and misbehavior. As to my siblings, I know I'm not the epitome of a good brother, but I do really care a lot for you. In short, I'm proud to be in this family and I love you all very much =)

Surprise 3:

12 of August 2009 is the day where I left my old bag (which I've been using for 3 years) and my metal pencil box at the little corner of my room because I got a brand new one as birthday present. Actually I saw this as white elephant at first, because though my bag and pencil box look worn and torn, it is still usable and I've never thought of replacing them. But I'm really happy receiving new one. Maybe you all are right, I should have care more about my attire, my image. Hmm ... White bag implies me that I got to be more careful and on top of that, I got to clean it whenever it gets dirty. Oh no... Any tips on handling white bag?

Went to Pizza Hut during break and really happy to see so many turned up. ^^ Interestingly enough, since form 3, almost every year my birthday have got to do with Pizza Hut. Lolx... I'm not a fanatic Pizza's fan by the way.

Kept the hype alive, we went for G.I. Joe right after that.

Well, I swear I will take good care of the bag and I will gel my hair (hmm...?), no more short pants in school and try not to ffk. Haha, satisfied? Anyway, for those who are going oversea next year, all the best in study but don't stress yourselves too much. Opss, so does everyone. All the best ya ^^

Surprise 4:

Alvin slept over my house the coming Friday (14 of August) and asked for my companion to One Utama the next day, claiming to buy text book. Without hesitation, I agreed.

It was my brother who woke us up around 10.30am and after a light brunch, off we went. Pretty unusual that Alvin was sms-ing on the way and what made this even suspicious were two phone calls. Alvin was just answering "hmm", "oh", "ya", "erm" in which you probably won't answer in a normal course of conversation. Then he told me Racheal was having lunch at Italianese, everything became clear, wasn't it? Haha... Anyhow, I was still surprised!

Li Jian, Toby, Jun Yuan, Frog, Hui Bin, Racheal, Lun Wen, Hui Xin, Zhi Quan, Pei Voon, Xin Ying, Xiao Pei, Monica, Hui Wen, were already enjoying their lunch when we reached there. Apparently, we're late. xD

Once food was cleared, the service crews came over with a box of lovely cupcakes, a Tabocca chili sauce and tambourine. They asked me to stand on a chair to speech. Well, at that time I was speechless. Way too happy to speak.

Next they handed me a straw, thought I were to drink the Tabocca. In fact, I got to use that straw to blow off candles from a distance. Well, I did it, hoho... And my reward was the "Italianese birthday song".

Picks & Pickles of the week

Well, a lot of things going on in these few days that somehow make me not in a study mood that I'm supposed to be.

Surprised. Touched. Thrilled. Bewildered. Grateful. Can't find any word that can convey my feelings precisely. All in all, I'm really thankful for everything you all have done and I appreciate them very very much. Thanks in advance :) Will tell you guys what's going on once I get everything I need and most probably will be the next post. So stay tune to find out the greatest "infiltration" in the history. Lolx... Once again, arigatou gozaimasu!

Okay, back to the gist, I fetched my brother to his school (APIIT) after his piano practical exam last Friday. While he was taking part in Math Exploration, I decided to swim at Bukit Jalil Aquatic Stadium with Alvin. Who knows luck wasn't with me. It was having Malaysia Mini Olympic and wasn't open for public until the next day. Fine. Went to another stadium near Tun Razak but it was closed for the same reason too, just that it was another competition.

Gosh... We then went to Bukit Jalil Golf Club (rich men's club) but the pool is only open for members and members' guests. Without a membership card, nothing you can do. Desperated, we decided to try our luck by asking an auntie to invite us as her guests. Maybe it was because of our honest face, she didn't hesitate to agree. In the end, we paid RM9 each and enjoyed ourselves, including sauna service. Too bad that I still don't know how to swim even though Alvin has been teaching me. I just can't relax my whole body and swim like a fish. Swimming is hard man...

Is over 12 now and my birthday ends with a satisfaction note, though I am expecting some "latecomers". Haha.... Once again, thanks profoundly to those who turned up to surprise me, those who smsed me with birthday wishes, those who left their comments on facebook, those who tricked me to cyber cafe and those yet to come... I beg your forgiveness if I missed anyone out, be kind enough to remind me.

It is not how expensive the cake is, nor how expensive the present is, but the thought that counts. Never mind I got no tangible present, for what I've received (or going to receive?) is invaluable and imperishable. It warms my heart every now and then, gives me strength when I'm weak, cheers me up whenever I'm demotivated, paints my life with colours, what tangible goods could have done this? None.

Lefties vs Righties

School reopened for a week or so and as far as I'm concerned, everything is going smooth, in spite of the worsening pandemic, haze and some hiccups going on. I do hope all my dearest friends out there are in good shape, stay healthy ya? ^^

Well, it's August now! For Chinese, 8 itself is auspicious in nature and that's why there are so many August babies (Opps, it just a wild guess and it is not necessarily true). But the very fact is, in my calender, birthday reminders in August outnumber any other months and they come one after another! Which means my wallet will go flat; my stomach, on the other hand, will be fattened. Oh no...

Anyhow, with all my sincerity i wish you all a very happy birthday! Though we might lost contact, though we might not as friend as we used to be, though you might not remember me, it doesn't matter.

Besides, August is also a festive month in Malaysia! What else could it be? Of course I'm talking about our National Day, what is better than having no school and lazing around? xD
But did you know that, there is a Left Handers' Day out there and it so happens to fall on this propitious month too?

Lolx, I know you might feel like "what the crab? left handers' day?!" but this is not a joke nor it is a nonsense, it is an annual event when left-handers everywhere can celebrate ~~their~~ our (I'm a left-hander too) sinistrality and increase public awareness of the advantages and disadvantages of being left-handed.

Did you ever wonder why are you a right-hander but not a left-hander, or vice versa? Well, I do. I've been always wondering why am I the only left-hander in my family? Research shows it is the gene that messing around. Leaders, entrepreneurs are not born, how bout this issue here?

Lore has it that left-handers are generally better at 3-dimensional perception and thinking, leading, for example, to more left-handed architects than normal. Left-handers are also usually pretty good at most ball sports and things involving hand-to-eye co-ordination. Proofs?

Can you name some of the successful lefties? Way back centuries ago, we got geniuses like Albert Eistein and Leonardo da Vinci; famous musicians like Beethoven, Schumann; great artist like Michelangelo; while Barak Obama, David Archuleta, Larry Bird, Hugh Jackman, Celine Dion, Nicole Kidman, Henry Ford and Bill Gates are some of the strong characters in this ten years. Undoubtly, they are (were) talented and brilliant.

However, nothing is perfect. To be honest, being a left-hander brings me more or less some inconvenience in my daily life. For instance, "fighting scenes" are available on packed dining table especially when chopsticks are in use, problems in using scissors and rulers, extra care needed when using ball pen and so on. See, as a minority (only about 13% of the world population) we are somewhat neglected. As there are very little tools and machinery specially designed for us, we are forced to use right-handed tools and machinery which is completely back-to-front for us.

That's why Left-Handers' Day is needed, with the idea of having everyone to celebrate in fun, practical ways, making right handed family members/friends/colleagues realise how "dextrous" (right-handed term, hmm.....) we have to be because we are constantly adapting a right-handed world to work for a left-hander. Getting right handers to do everything left-handed for the day is a great way to make the point!

But in Malaysia, the awareness to this itself is a big question mark, let alone having events as such. Just imagine how it will be if there is such event, you will be able to know your left-handed family or friends better through a whole lot of laughther, isn't that great?

There's nothing wrong to be a left-hander or right-hander, and there is no need to fight to see who is better, for each of us has our own specialities and we are equally good. So, don't set upon me after you read this post, I never meant lefties are any superior than righties, deal?
Anyway, greet your left-handed friends, if any, a happy Left-Handers' Day on 13 of August as it is a day for us! :)

A miss is as good as a mile

When you sit nervously in the exam hall and once the clock strikes at the starting time, what will you do?

Well, after years and years of examination, you should have known a legible hand writing is crucial, which column should not be written, no cheating is allowed and bla bla bla... So instinctively I will pick up my pen and start filling in my details on the answer booklet and next I will start answering questions, without scrutinizing the instructions on the cover page. In other words, I'm stereotyped. And it was this stereotype that put me into a whole lot of trouble (a silly incident to be accurate) last night.

It got nothing to do with examination but the movie "The Proposal".

Every now and then Today is giving out coupons for movie premiere and it used to be collecting two different ads in exchange for two premiere tickets. However, there was a change for the movie "The Proposal", requiring all four different ads in exchange for four premiere tickets but because I didn't read the terms and conditions at all, I didn't notice that and had caused a hell lot of inconvenience to those who went for the movie (Alvin, Rachael...) as well as those who were not (Me, my family and Chui Wen). Apologize in advance.

And it reminds me of something else.

Few months ago when Proton first launched its new production Exora, they had an ad on the front page of The Sun. A two pages ad, with reversed words written at the back and images on the front page. Very creative indeed.

Supposedly, we should held the ad as shown in the photo. Oh, there's a line writing "To discover just how amazing it is, hold it up to the light".

But most of us didn't notice that. In fact, we tried to use mirror reflection to read it. Lol, how silly it was... In the end, it was a foreign student who told us about the clause, followed by a sarcastic comment, "That's why I say you Malaysian never read".

Get what am I trying to say? In short, try not to be lazy, read what ever that are written thoroughly, if not a quick glance even though you've been reading the same thing over and over again. It only took a few moment but will save you from troubles. So, do you have the same bad habit as I am?

Getting back to school

Excited and nervous, I checked my results with some expectation yesterday. And guess what? My smile disappeared as soon as my results appeared on my monitor.

No A ?! Nevermind...
No B+ ?! I'm dead...
Two C+ ?! Kill me, somebody please...

Gosh, I'm really sadly disappointed but there is no use bellyaching about it right? Instead of disgracing my blog ranting this and that, I guess the better solution is to work even harder for the coming semester.

I Ain't No Past-Dweller

"I wish I could turn back the time..."

Bet this is what we always hear when we grow older and older. Adults wanted to be young again, the working one reminiscing the school days, university students like me hoping to get back to secondary school days and so on...

Not everyone of us but at least I am was. Yeah, was.

I used to say this during my childhood:

"I want to grow up, I want to be an adult, so no one will interfere my discretion..."

As I growing up, I face more challenges, deal with more difficulties, and so I started to run away, hiding myself in the past, where everything didn't seem so harsh, so cruel, so discouraged. But wait, wasn't in the past too full of ordeals? When I was a toddle, how many times had I fell down before I learnt to walk? When I was a teenager, how many sprained fingers I suffered before I managed to lay up?

See, life being what it is, neither the past nor present is a bed of roses. So why not look forward as you used to be?

Things change with time, only one thing that will never change - no one can ever go back to the past. Meaning that no matter how dismay you are, how rich you are or how knowledgeable you are, there is no way for you to turn back time and this is a very fact that can never be changed.

I was rather a past dweller and I absolutely understand it is not easy to let go certain things in life. But you have to know this, dwelling in the past will do nobody any good, especially you yourself. So open up your heart and live in present, let the past be your lesson and future as your dreams to be achieved.

Well, if you so happen to be a past-dweller too, hope this will somehow encourage you. It's not easy but won't you want to hide your head under the sand like an ostrich forever? Held your head high and face it with all your courage.

All in all, let's cherish our past and learn to move on. I hope I'm no longer a past dweller!

Lolx, don't mistaken, no déjà vu here. Just being too boring and wanted to try something new. Hehe...

By the way, this was done by Paint. Quite blur because I tried to use several software to beautify it but ended worst. Lazy to make further changes so just leave it as it is.

Actually wanted to draw some more, but drawing with mouse is definitely challenging so the picture stops there. Am figuring GIMP2 and Flash, hopefully next time will have something better to present.

As for me, there's quite a number of dates I never wanted to forget and one of them is 070707, the "lucky seven day". But it wasn't lucky at all for me.

This was a day where I experienced happiness, frustration and ruefulness at the same time.
This was a day where I found the the most precious treasure of all things, friendship.
This is a day I will never forget for the rest of my life.

Why?

All because of "The Way I Am".

I was dumbfounded when I heard this.

Not that I'm a fan of MJ.

To be frank, I've never watched the King of Pop's famous moon walk until today and I can hardly name his songs. You're not Alone, Heal the World and We are the World are what I could name.

All these years what I've been hearing about him was the alleged child abuse that severely ruined his reputation and a shocking announcement of record-breaking UK comeback tour. Oh ya, how could I forget his skin bleaching and plastic surgery?

Despite all the negative claims, no doubt he was a talented person. Well, I just did some research and guess what, he had showed his musical talent at 5 years old and joined his brother's band (Jackson 5)! If this doesn't convince you, think about the comeback tour. Tickets of 50 concerts were sold out within hours! It is really unbelievable...

And now, he's dead. The famous pop star has gone. Guess many of us are going to miss him.

华文，我永远的母语

小时候的我对金庸武侠小说，中国著名文学如三国演义，岳飞传，杨家将，西游记等爱不释手，所以我频以我的华文为傲；

上了大学，为了恶补英文选择的读物都是以英文为主，很少再接触华文。
不知不觉中，我的华文退步了，甚至还把“会计”的“会”念成“hui”！真是丢脸。不进则退果然是对的。

今天，百般无聊下拿起妹妹的短篇小说看，一种久违的熟悉感回来了，真得很久没接触华文了。书名是《小天堂》，作者是邓秀茵。

这不是什么爱情小说，也没有什么降龙十八掌，却有着那纯纯的感动。

“有些事，你想做就去做吧。
有些人，你想见的话就去见吧。
想太多，就会失去机会。”

朋友的爸爸从小就离开了朋友，长大后得知爸爸的消息，主角就对朋友说了这番话，呵呵。。。

可是，很多事情真的是这样子吗？哪我和你呢？唉。。。
我把我的失败归咎于我的自卑，自卑到怀疑自己是不是真的那么烦。
过去的就让他过去吧,以后会怎么样，一切随缘。。。
至于自卑，总有一天我会战胜你的。

还有，我发觉原来一个人逛街也是一种享受。
当然我不是贸贸然一个人去逛，只是在等妹妹学琴时去消磨时间而已，结果却让我发现到原来我的好奇心真得很强，我竟然站在宠物店里的变色龙橱窗前差不多20分钟为的就是想看变色龙如何变色！可惜没看到，他们都没变。。。

礼拜回中华看了学术展，真的让我佩服得五体投地。一整天在那都还没把所有的东西看完，可惜星期六外公生日，否至两天都会回去看。

妹，那天要安排很多东西，所以没去看你表演，对不起。

这一天也遇到很多旧朋友，衣袖啦，polar bear 啦，臭臭拉，俊源啦，还有不记得了。。。人老了，果然健忘，呵呵。。。
也遇到黄明达老师，为勇竟然高过我了！

看了合唱团的表演，听到colours of the wind 时有想哭的感觉，真得很怀念这一切的一切，真得很怀念你们这班朋友，不晓得大家怎么了？在槟城的，在金宝的，再kl的，都还好吧？

我不得不承认我在维持友情这方面很烂，很少主动打电话联络你们，也时常放飞机，所以渐渐的就疏远了。我会反省的，也希望这个部落格能让我们保持联络！

真的好久没用华文了，不是因为我不爱我的母语，而是用华语blog还真麻烦。不过老实说，华文才能表达出我真实的我，这是其他语言所不能代替的。以后有时间的话，我一定会用华语写，因为我爱华文！

Renovation

Alright, don't be panic, you're in the right place if you're looking for my blog, only that I've changed the template.

It used to be black in colour, giving a dull and deadly impression but not anymore! Reason to renovate? Well, it's simple. It's about to reach 50 posts (is this a reason?!) and this blog is about 7 months old (is this a reason too?!)! On top of that, I'm bored with the template (this sounds more convincing).

Haha, whatever reason it is, I like my blog more now because it looks more cheerful and more delightful, don't you think so? But one thing I dislike about the new template is that photos and words have been lighten, as if shrouded in mist. Tried to remove it but unfortunately all the codes are too foreign to me, so can't help much.

Anyway, all the gadgets have been carried down, credit to my brother because he did this for me and freed me from the cumbersome process for embedding them one by one again. Arigato!

The end of another semester

Before going any further, congratulations to Alvin for proceeded to the interview stage for his Japanese scholarship. Okay, am expecting a free meal from you but please get a hair cut first, can? XD Anyway, all the best to you!

Haha, back to the topic.

As usual, movie comes right after the end of examination period, no exception for this time too!
Went to Midvalley for Angels and Demons, but luck wasn't with us. It was selling hot and only front rows were available.

Despite that, the movie was awesome! You wouldn't know who's the antagonist until the very last minute. Complicated, tense and mysterious, it will definitely keep you awake throughout the movie.

Religion and science, fate and facts, how would you justify them? Well, having scientific background, it is kinda hard for me to answer this. I would rather quote from the movie,

"Fate is a gift, I've yet to receive"

p.s. Okay, is holiday now and I'm free. Is anyone going to date me?

Wonder is it because reading too much and didn't relax my eyes, my eyes are so dry and I can't even sleep well. Argh, is all examination's fault!

3 more days to go, then I'm free! Well, clear all movies "in arrear", like Night at the museum 2, Angel & demon, Monster vs alien, Terminator 4, Blood...

and most importantly, I don't want to miss Transformer 2! Just by watching the trailer alone is boiling my blood! Omigosh!

No doubt that grades do not mean everything but you can't deny that when you score low mark, it actually means your answer is not correct and you got something wrong.

But the problem is, I don't see why I should get such a low mark for my law. Maybe I'm just too dumb that I actually misinterpret everything? I wish I could have a look at my paper and see what's went wrong.

I'm not fretting myself for getting such a low mark, getting low marks or even zero for my exam is not something unusual for me after all, is just that I've put in all my effort in it and I think I deserve something better than that, unless I'm a failure in nature. You know, through out my life, I've never succeed in anything, regardless how much effort I've devoted and one of them is basketball. Putting so much effort, so much time but what now? Don't even dare to play now.

I don't want to lower my head and say, okay, this is my fate, I'm a failure in nature, no matter what, failure remains failure. I want to fight back, I want to regain my confidence and I want to prove I can do it as well as somebody else! But what? It seems like all my efforts are in vain, instead of satisfaction, frustration is what I get... I don't know how...

Sorry guys, I shouldn't post this up, but I just can't bottle it up either. I know my emotional management has been done very badly, I promise I will find some ways to release all these negative things soon. Anyway, I apologise for the rant and thanks for reading this up. I'll be fine soon.

I've been really lucky that my parent gave me the chance to learn piano, and really appreciate that they forced me to continue when I was about to stop learning. Due to my bro has an awful lot of assignments to be done, most of the time he's using the computer and when I got the chance to use, I have to do my last assignment too. So, apologize for not updating for such a long time.

Anyway, life has been going on smoothly despite the scorching hot weather and spent quite a lot of money in a week time. Oh no, got to tighten up my belt for the following weeks XD

Btw, final exam is in countdown mode, haiz another semester is going to end soon.SO FAST EH...

Having muscles sore now as I went to play badminton last Saturday. It has been almost half a year since my last exercise, luckily my belly isn't protruding. Just imagining myself with a pot belly alone unnerved me. Well, as for my left hand, I hardly do my rehabilitation... Still have some difficulties to raise it up.

Well, the whole project was recorded and here it is. We got only three days to practice, so don't expect something great. But to me, the effort and the commitment are the most important one. So, give us a big hand and enjoy the show.

Buai mid term and assignments!

Imagine right after handed in a whole lots of assignments and project, there is mid term test waiting for you, how exhausted would you be? If you got only one subject for your mid term test, good for you; if you got two, that's fair enough and if you got three, wish you luck. But what if there are four? Omg, these really happened to me! Worst still, four subjects in three days!

Never mind, it's all over! Buahaha....
No more burning mid night oil, no more tricky questions, and it is time to have a good sleep! =D

I have to admit I'm rather bad temper, but this is what I totally can't tolerate with.

Well, I'm talking about the management in my school, and some of their employees. Despite the two lecturers whom have lost my respect, these two bloody idiots from the maintenance department who were supposed to help us to set up all the things we requested for our project just sat aside without telling us they were ready to set things up. In fact, they just tested the sounding system, that's all. I asked the department to send all the things over here before 11 and since it was almost 11, we sent someone to check with them, but they said no such things. Bloody idiot! So I went there myself and they told me their staffs were already there. So that two bloody idiot scolded me for kept on complaining for nothing. I am not a great observer nor I know how to read mind, you didn't tell me anything how would I know? Even when I asked them if they were controlling the sounding system for us he didn't mention anything other than sounding system. It is normal to assume they are just in charge of sounding system right? Or as the staff, you might ask me when all the things should be set up right? Maybe I'm too idiot. At the end of the day, I still apologized... Merely because we needed their help, it is no use putting the whole group into trouble.

Another thing that I feel so indignant is there are so many overlapping authorities! Darn, so many lecturers are talking about satisfying customers' needs, gaining competitive advantages, effective management but these are all nonsenses to the superiors. What the lecturer told us was different from what department of student affair told us. And the worst was I had already obtained an approval letter but the head of DSA said how could it be? What the crab! How many departments should I address just to get an approval for my project?

Not only this, I trapped in the car park for about 20 minutes to pay the parking ticket. Mind that we are paying it manually, and there's only one exit for students or visitors. You know what caused my temper to rise? Three brainless idiots in the pondok and only one was working! Why don't the other two come out and collect the fees behind the queue? A little ingenuity will do isn't? No wonder why government department always take so long to get thing done.

Aiz, I don't want to be a whining idiot, but I just can't stand all these. I know it is kinda rude, but just allow me this time, ~~fuck you!~~

What a hectic week I had. Been doing my assignments and finally it comes to an end. Nay, I find no sense of satisfaction on my assignments, but what is done is done, so just forget it. Anyway, I just want to thank Ting in advance, without your laptop, I might get into real trouble. Even though you might not read this, still thanks a thousand times over. And because of him, I started to believe maybe utilitarianism is not a Utopian idea. He is really really nice to everyone, he will just give you a hand even if you don't ask. So maybe I shouldn't deny the existence of utilitarian anymore. =D

Oh ya, I've been practicing Chinese yo-yo like mad this few days for the Malaysian Studies project. Lolx... I have to admit how dumb I am! I used 3 hours learning through trial and errors and at last the yo yo sounded, but my brother and my sister did that just not longer than 5 minutes! Argh...

I don't know why quite a number of my friends' birthdays fall on April, [Shrug] In chronological order, Hui Xin (31 March),Chui Wen (5 April), Kin Ho (6 April) and Joanna (7 April). See... Don't be surprise if you see me with a pot belly next time XD

Malay & Indian Culture in need

So, this is another use of blog and hopefully it will makes my life easier.

As the title says, I need more information about Malay & Indian cultural for my Malaysian Studies' project. We are supposed to have an event introducing the culture of the three main races in this nation, i.e Malay, Chinese and Indian. No problem for Chinese part, but the other two, hehe... Too bad to say that I hardly got Malay or Indian friends so here I am looking for help.

So, what I would need is their costume (of the three races) for a small fashion show. Next we would like to have some performance representing each culture. For Chinese, we will be performing Chinese Yo-yo and if possible, join us in the performance. Outsourcing is allowed. However, we still need more information for the other two, so provide me with some of their traditional dances or any performance that are easy for dummies like me. After all, we don't have much time to practice and it is just a short event, last for 30 minutes at most. In addition, if so happened that you are interested to perform you can join us ya! Admission is free. Lolx..

Staying up late in such a late hour, or in the early morning not because of assignments, merely because I'm lost. In what sense? I don't know... Just lost, as simple as that.

Enjoying the serenity of the darkness and hoping that dawn will never come. Weird, for the first time in my life having such thinking. Maybe I should learn the art of silence...

Just don't pry on this issue, as I'm not being emo nor I'm down, just LOST. Even if you do so, I might not know how to answer, because I'm L.O.S.T. Lost in a sense that I want to be alone for a day or two, and I will be fine.

Yeah, just lost... Like a man suddenly lost his eye-sight, not knowing where he is and where's the future. Get what I mean? Bet you don't. Anyway, I will be fine and smiles will soon hang on my face again, I promise. Not to anyone, but myself.

Haha, going back to school makes me feel good, at least it puts a full stop to my "miserable" holidays. Well, my last few posts are kinda negative and emotional, so just flush with a good news;

I'm still standing a chance to get either partial or full scholarship to UQ!

Buahaha.... It means I have to work harder if I want to realize my dream to study aboard! So wish me luck ya!

Nothing much happened during the first week of school, except kinda headache on choosing what subjects. But at the end, I'm taking four subjects:
1. ACC200 - Accounting Information Systems by Mr Gavin Chong
2. ACC203 - Financial Accounting 2 by Dr Steven Liew
3. LAW 201 - Company Law by Ms Chitra Latha Ramalingam
4. FIN202 - Financial Management by Mr Selvanadan

3 out of 4 days are having 8am class, which mean I have to wake up early! But my bigger concern is my lecturer. So far only Ms Chitra gives me a good impression, others are kinda... erm... below decent, especially Dr Steven. I wonder is he teaching the right concepts? By the way, as I promised to myself, I need to work harder and get a better results this year, so...

Nevermind how you celebrate with your loved one, always remember that it is the thought that counts; and for those who are single like me... Erm... no comment.

As for me, I hanged out with Chui Wen, Ryan, Alvin, Ah Xing, Wen Hao and Xiao Lian at Mid Valley. Too bad I can't watch Red Cliff 2! In fact, we watched Pink Panther 2 as The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was sold out too. Gosh... If you enjoy Johnny English, this would be exactly the one you might like it. Anyway, it is hilarious, only thing that puzzled me is why the movie is called Pink Panther 2 when there's no sight of Pink Panther throughout the movie? Forget about the animated one, I don't count him as part of the movie.

Despite that, we had a gourmet lunch at 香港粥面家 (Canton-i). Alvin brought us to this cosy restaurant in The Garden. Since it is located in The Garden, needless to say the price will be rather expensive, but it is acceptable and you will definitely willing to pay for it. I mean the restaurant makes me feel at home, in addition the food are just too scrumptious! So, what else are you complaining at? If you haven been there before, don't hesitate to give it a try. Opps, we didn't take any photos or else just by looking at them will make your mouth water! Seriously...

Well, nothing much to write. Just sincerely wish those who are in love appreciate the special one and if you so happen to bump into Cupid, just do me a favour, tell him that I'm looking for him.
